1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, mobile phone number, and the credentials you use to sign in.
• What you tell the interview: your goals and dates, your household situation, your constraints, and the concerns you raise. This is the most sensitive material we hold.
• Connected account data: where you authorize a read only connection, account names and types, balances, transactions, income deposits, loan and card balances, rates and payment dates, and investment holdings, from which net worth and savings rate are calculated.
• Plan and goal data: the plan documents produced for you, tracked goals and statuses, assumptions, notification history, and prior versions.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We receive a record of your subscription and its status, never your full card number.
• Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, and usage collected to keep the service working and secure.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to conduct the interview, write and maintain your plan, replace estimates with your real figures, calculate goal status, send the account notifications you have asked for, process your subscription, provide support, secure the service, and comply with our legal obligations. We use aggregate, de-identified information to improve how the software reasons about planning. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data or interview answers to target advertising.

3. Read Only Connections

Connections to your financial accounts are established through an aggregation provider and are read only. We can see information. We cannot move, transfer, withdraw or invest money, cannot take custody of an asset, and cannot execute a transaction. You may unlink any connection at any time, which stops the flow of new data from that institution. Where the aggregation provider holds credentials for your institution, it handles them under its own privacy terms, presented at the point you connect.

4. SMS Messaging and Mobile Data

When you opt in to our SMS program, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent so that we can deliver the account notification messages you have requested. That information is used to operate the program and to send those messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may request help by replying HELP. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions (aggregation, payments, hosting, communications, support tooling), with a CFP professional where your subscription includes a session and you attend it, with a partner you choose to share your plan with, when required by law, or in a corporate transaction, in which case this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.

6. Retention and Security

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for legal and operational purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep what we hold to what the service needs.

7. Your Choices and Controls

You can export your plan and your data, delete your data, unlink any connected account, switch off the artificial intelligence features, and close your account, at any time, from your account settings or by contacting us. We honor verified deletion requests within the timelines the law sets.

8. Children

The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will post the update on the site and note it in the service before it takes effect.
